Obituary Notice
Jesse A. Steele, 69, of Decatur passed away Thursday January 5, 2012 at Heartland Health Care Center in Decatur.
A service to celebrate Jesse’s life will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday January 10, 2012 at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood St. Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Jacobs officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday January 10, 2012 at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded after services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Jesse was born in Shelbyville, IL on November 5, 1942 the son of William and Florene York Steele. Jesse was a machinist for Mueller Company and a Professional Photographer doing weddings and portraits around Central Illinois.
Jesse is survived by his son Jason Steele and wife Amy of Auburn, IL and two grandchildren Claire and Logan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons Jesse Alan Steele, Jr. and Jacob Aaron Steele, one brother Kenneth Steele.

I saw Jesse often at the bank I work at, and he also took my wedding pictures. He had a great sense of humor and always made it a point to tell me hello at work. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.
